Privacy Policy

Burns Web Services ("we," "us," or "Gregory Burns") operates burnswebservices.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. It's written in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email greg@burnswebservices.com and ask.
Information we collect
This Site does not have a contact form, account system, or e-commerce checkout, so we don't collect information you don't choose to give us. Information reaches us in two ways:
- Website analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic — which pages are visited, approximate location (city/region level, based on IP address), device and browser type, and how visitors found the Site. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.
- Email correspondence: If you email greg@burnswebservices.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include — your name, email address, and anything else you send. That information is used only to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you've asked for.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings, or use a browser extension like Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on, without affecting your ability to use the Site.
Third-party services
This Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard web traffic (like IP addresses and request logs) as part of delivering the Site securely and reliably. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics. Neither service is authorized to use this data for anything other than providing their respective service to us. Neither service is directed by us to sell your data.
How we use information
Analytics data is used only to understand how the Site is performing and where to improve it. Information sent by email is used only to respond to your inquiry or deliver services you've contracted for. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Emails are kept as part of normal business recordkeeping and client communication history, and are deleted upon request where we're not otherwise required to retain them (for example, for tax or contractual records).
Your choices
You can browse this Site without sending any personal information at all, since there's no form to fill out. If you've emailed us and want that correspondence deleted from our records, email greg@burnswebservices.com and we'll honor that request except where records must be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
Children's privacy
This Site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
