Portfolio

The kind of work I build for small businesses.

Client sites launch with a simple, no-nonsense structure: fast pages, clear calls to action, and content that's easy for you to update. Here's the pattern behind three common builds, plus a few demo projects that show the same care applied end to end.

Representative builds

Local Service Business Site

Built for the plumbers, contractors, and home-service businesses that live or die by phone calls. Structure: hero with a phone number and service area up top, service list, and a booking or call CTA repeated down the page.

Consultant & Professional Services Site

Built for consultants, accountants, and advisors who sell trust before they sell anything else. Structure: clear credentials, a plain-language description of who you help, and a direct way to get in touch — no generic stock-photo hero.

Retail & Storefront Site

Built for shops and storefronts that need hours, location, and product highlights front and center. Structure: a map and hours block above the fold, a product or menu grid, and simple photo swaps you can send me by email.

Practice & demo builds

These are projects I built on my own time to test patterns before I bring them to client work — not live client sites.

Booking & Scheduling Demo

A lightweight appointment-request flow for a single-location service business — built to test how little friction a booking form actually needs.

Local Service Directory Demo

A searchable directory of local service providers, filterable by category and area — a pattern I reuse for multi-location or multi-service businesses.

Content-First Marketing Demo

A fast, SEO-structured content site with clean heading hierarchy and metadata baked in from the first page — the same foundation every client site launches with.

Case studies are coming — here's why they're not all here yet

Before Burns Web Services, most of my work lived behind employer NDAs on large-scale systems where downtime wasn't an option. I only publish client work with permission, so this page will grow as current clients agree to be featured. Want a fuller picture of that background in the meantime?
